“There is no glory in practice, but without practice, there is no glory.” – Unknown

The 2nd word that will help you turn your passion into your purpose is “Practice.” Once you have laid out a plan and decided what you will need to do, you need to get to work acquiring the skills necessary to successfully achieve your goal. This is the important work that no one sees. The studying. The acquiring of new skills. The writing and rewriting of your mission and vision. Taking lessons. Taking classes. Whatever it is you need to do to improve your skills and knowledge base. It’s time to talk about PRACTICE.

“If you think practice is boring, try sitting on the bench!” – Unknown

In this episode, I sit down with “The Sultan of Silver” himself, George Bruno. To say that George is a professionally licensed barber is almost like doing him a disservice. I prefer to use the term Renaissance Man. Whether he’s posting videos of beard grooming tips, sharing random insights on father/son relationships and cigars, or simply enjoying a summer evening while listening to Sinatra, George is truly comfortable in his own skin. Something which he uses to his advantage when driving his business. If you are looking for a straight razor shave and a great conversation, George is your guy. But be sure to block out enough time, with George, you can never run out of things to talk about.

I wanted to give you a glimpse into my life and work experiences so that you have an idea as to why I decided to forego the comfort and peace of mind of a steady, albeit average, paycheck, to start my own business. In other words, I want to take you inside the mind of a crazy person. I mean seriously, what drives someone to that level of insanity? Going from getting paid every two weeks like clockwork to bungee-jumping without a cord?
Well, I’ll tell you…and hopefully, you will be able to relate to me and my story when you’ve finished listening…
